One of the greatest look in hairstyle is the Flip up style. Very trendy and funky. Mary Tyler Moore’s hair flip has endured through the decades and continues to go strong as a popular hair style. Mary's flip was attached to a heavily sprayed and backcombed bouffant, the flip for 2000 is usually topped by soft and sleek hair. Helmet head is no longer popular and the focus is on hair that is soft, touchable and well groomed. Cathy Moriarity, Ellen Barkin, Barbra Streisand and even First Lady Hillary Clinton have worn the modern version of the flip.
This look works for all lengths & is very trendy. The flip hair style is back, and for purists it should be flat on the sides and curled into points. The flip will generate a double-take from anyone who went to school in the sixties. You'll need a large, round brush to get this look. Blow dry hair straight, but flip up the ends.
Another way to go the way style is-First, part a thin piece of your hair, it’s often better to start in the back. Lightly spray it with a strong holding hairspray. Don't spray too much cause that would make it look unnatural. Start straightening it but instead of going all the way down to the ends than off the hair use the flat iron like a curling iron. Repeat until your finish!!! Takes about 45 minutes or less.
Turn yourself the icon with the very individualistic flip with soft elegant shiny locks topped by a gradual but gentle flip on either side.
